Margaret Gale
AGE: 95 • Manahawkin
Margaret Gale, 95, of Manahawkin, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, after a long illness. Originally of Waretown and a 1936 Barnegat High School graduate, Mrs. Gale worked as the Waretown tax collector for over 35 years and retired in 1987. She was a charter member of the Waretown First Aid Squad for many years, as well as a member of the Waretown Ladies Auxiliary. As a member of the Manahawkin Baptist Church, she served as a Deaconess and on the women's visitation ministry.
Predeceased by her husband, Richard I. Gale and later Howard Steinmetz, she is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Mollenkopf and her husband Richard C. of Barnegat; a grandson, Richard W. Mollenkopf and wife Patty of West Virginia; a granddaughter, Dawn M. Rosser and husband Ronald of Manahawkin; a stepson, Barry Steinmetz and wife Iris of Barnegat; six great-grandchildren, Ashley & John Keller, Jordan Rosser, Shelby, Cale & Wyatt Mollenkopf; and two brothers, R. Paul Muni and Carmine Muni.
Viewing from 10 a.m. Monday, July 15 until the funeral services at 12 noon at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Interment in Cedar Grove Cem., Waretown. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hopewell Foundation, c/o Caring Hospice Services, 1090 King Georges Post Rd., Suite 703, Edison, NJ 08837 or Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Fl., NY, NY 10001.
