Harry J. Schlott, Jr.
AGE: 85 • Whiting
Harry J. Schlott Jr., age 85, of Whiting passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at Hamilton Place at The Pines at Whiting. Born in New York, he lived in Woodside NY before moving to Whiting in 1998. He was employed as a Teamster Foreman for Local # 282 in New York for 10 years before his retirement in 1990. Prior to that he worked as a Truck Driver for Canada Dry in Queens. Harry served in the United States Navy during WWII. He attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and served as both an Altar Server and a Eucharistic minister. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus Council # 9852 of St. Elizabeth.
Harry was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Anna E. (Walker). Surviving are three sons and four daughters, his twin brother and his two sisters. Also surviving are his 11 grandchildren and a great grandson.
Visiting hours will be Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM and Friday 8-8:30am at "The Family Owned" Carmona Bolen Home For Funerals, 66 Lacey Road, Whiting NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 9AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church in Whiting. Burial will follow at BGWCD NJ Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown.
