Bereheiko, Patricia - 82, Middlesex  
Patricia Bereheiko AGE: 82 • Middlesex Patricia Bereheiko 82, of Middlesex, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerset with her loving family by her side. Born in Dunellen, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Mohan) Schottinger. She worked as a customer service representative for American Standard in Piscataway, NJ. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Center of Middlesex, and was formerly a communicant of St. John's Catholic Church in Dunellen. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Patricia was predeceased by her brothers, Owen and John Schottinger as well as by her sisters, Catherine Sheridan, and Mary Dingman. She is also predeceased by her son John Joseph. She is survived by her sons, Robert William, Sr. and wife Betty Ann of Green Brook, NJ, James Stephen and wife Theresa of Millstone Township, NJ and David Paul and wife Karen of Bridgewater, NJ and by her daughter in law Elizabeth of Galloway Township, NJ. Patricia is also survived by her 9 beloved grandchildren, Joe (Jessica), Amy Creteau (Ryan), Erin, Laura (Jack), Bobby, Kevin, Katelyn, Michael, Kelly. All services are under the direction of the Sheenan Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Catholic Church in Dunellen. All other arrangements are private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Patricia's name to American Cancer Society at cancer.org/donate

Alice Marie Bolten AGE: 63 • Edison Alice Marie Bolten, 63, of Edison died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at home. Born in Carteret, she has resided in Edison since 1976. She was employed by Wal-Mart in Edison as a customer service representative. Alice was a communicant of St. Matthews RC Church in Edison and was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her sons Dennis and his wife Annmarie, Steven and his wife Kristen; a brother Robert Kozyra and his wife Julie; a sister Nancy Bennett and her husband Bill; and two grandchildren Christopher and Jenna. Services will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 8:45 AM from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen; followed by a 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew's RC Church. Barfoot, Edward Porter - 84, Manahawkin  
Edward Porter Barfoot AGE: 84 • Manahawkin Edward Porter Barfoot (Ed), passed away Monday, February 23, 2015. Ed was born July 27, 1930 in Teaneck NJ. The family moved to Beach Haven in 1940. Ed married Elsie Gatton in 1951 and he and Elsie lived in Manahawkin the remainder of their lives. Prior to his retirement, he was a linemen and electrician working throughout NJ. He was a member of IBEW, Local 351. He enjoyed, boating, fishing and hunting. He built many of his own boats. Ed served proudly in the US Army in Korea. He was a Life-member of the 7th Infantry Division Association, American Legion (Post 511), Combat Infantrymen's Association, Korean War Veterans Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars (Posts 3729 and 9503) and the Honor Degree of the VFW, the Military Order of the Cootie, a service organization serving our veterans. As a Cootie, he was very active performing hospital work for our country's veterans. Ed is pre-deceased by his wife Elsie, his son Robert, his parents Charles and Elizabeth; brothers Charles, George, Rodney, Ellsworth and Eugene. Ed is survived by son Edward (Karen) of Chandler, AZ; daughter Debbie Musgrove (Dean) of Delta, PA; grandson James (Brittany) of Durham, NC; grandson John of Riverside, CA; granddaughter Sara Barnes of Tuckerton; grandson Joe Shreck of Toms River; great-grandchildren, Logan and Ahlana; Sister-in-laws Juanita Brown of Barnegat; Jane Barfoot of Manahawkin and Jeanne Barfoot of Oakland, NJ. Graveside services will be held in May at the Greenwood Cemetery in Stafford Township, NJ.

Barnes, Joseph H. - Plainfield  
Joseph H. Barnes AGE: 80 • Plainfield Joseph H. Barnes, 80, of Plainfield, passed away Monday at Somerset Medical Center. He grew up in Richmond, Va., and lived in Plainfield for nearly 50 years. He was employed at Block Drug in Piscataway as a microbiologist. He earned a Bachelor's in Microbiology from Virginia State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Plainfield. He was a Boy Scout troop leader and a member of the Optimist Club. Survived by wife of 54 years, Thelma, and sons, Jeffrey and Gregory and a host of other relatives. A viewing will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., followed by services at 10:15 a.m. at United Presbyterian Church in Plainfield. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Funeral services are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, Plainfield, NJ.

Becker Jr., Charles D. - 76, Somerville  
Charles D. Becker Jr. AGE: 76 • Somerville Charlie was born in New Brunswick, NJ, he was the son of the late Cecilia and Charles D. Becker Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Somerville. He was employed as a licensed master plumber and co-owner of C.D. Becker Plumbing and Heating in Somerville for over 56 years, retiring in 2012. He was a 1956 graduate of Somerville High School where he was state runner up in wrestling. Charlie was a member of the Somerville Fire Department, Lincoln Hose Company #4 for 55 years, serving as Fire Chief in 1979 to 1980. He was a member of the NJ State Fire Chiefs Association, the Somerville Exempt Fireman's Association, and president of the Somerset County Fire Chief's Association. Charlie also was president of the Kelsey Fund and a member of the Somerville Elks Lodge. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Charlie will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years Anna E. DeLuca Becker, his Son Scott, his daughter Lori L Byer and her husband Joseph, a sister Linda Johanson and her husband Richard and five grandchildren, Cole, Caitlyn, Cara, Jana and Mia. Funeral Services will be 11am Saturday at St. John's Episcopal Church, 158 West High St. Somerville. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be from 2 to 4pm & 6-9pm Friday with Fireman's service starting at 6:30pm at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived there and then on Staten Island for 37 years before moving to Manchester in 2001. She was a parishioner of St John's Church, Lakehurst. She also belonged to the Red Hat Society. She is predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Helen Mosco and a brother, Herbert Mosco. Surviving is her loving husband of 58 years, Albert J Berdel, 2 daughters and their husbands, Marta and Stephen Barkhausen of Eatontown, Gina and Anthony Calabro of Merrick, NY, a son, Matthew Berdel and his wife, Roberta of Colts Neck, a brother, Domenic Mosco of Staten Island, NY, a sister, Marie Coscia of Ft Myers, FL and 7 grandchildren, Jessica and Jordon Lupon, Rev. Christopher Barkhausen, Alexis Berdel, Nicholas Calabro and Matthew and Robert Berdel. Visitation is Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Joan Marie Bills AGE: 81 • Owasso, OK Joan Marie Bills, 81, of Owasso, OK, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015. Over her years, Joan worked for New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, Evelyn's Seafood Restaurant, and Affiliated Collection Agency from where she retired in 1999. She lived in Wall, NJ for over 60 years and lived in the Shore area her whole life prior to moving to OK where she lived with her daughter for the past 3 1/2 years. Joan will be remembered for her love and generosity, her strong will and unique personality. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert J. Bills; her parents, Harold and Margaret Herbert, and a brother, Jack. Joan is survived by her 2 daughters, Kathlene Smith and her husband Homer, Owasso, OK and Peggy Van Nest and her husband Dennis, Wall, NJ; 4 grandchildren, Jean Morgan, Spring Lake Heights, Michael Commons and his wife Kristin, Honolulu, HI, Brian and Jenna Van Nest, Wall, NJ; 2 great-grandchildren, Connor and Madison Morgan, Spring Lake Heights, NJ, a sister, Joyce Bailey, Belmar, NJ and several nieces and nephews. Rose M. Bratcher AGE: 87 • Berkeley Township Rose M. Bratcher, 87, of the Holiday City Heights section of Berkeley Twp., passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Holiday Care Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a lifetime resident there before moving to Berkeley Twp. 27 years ago. Rose was an assistant buyer at Abraham and Strauss Store in Brooklyn, NY for over 18 years retiring in 1988. She was one of the founding members of St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church in Toms River. Rose is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Bratcher; a son, Jim and his wife Debbie Bratcher; a daughter, Joanne Bratcher; two grandchildren, James Bratcher and Clarence Ferrari and Kimberlee; and also survived by her great-granddaughter, Alice Rose Ferrari. Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 8 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 9 at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church Toms River. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C.
