Kyc, Sophie A. - 72, Hillsborough  
Sophie A. Kyc AGE: 72 • Hillsborough Sophie A. Kyc, 72, died on Thursday, December 25th, at home in Hillsborough. She was born and raised in Maspeth, Queens, NY and settled in Hillsborough in 1982. Sophie was an accountant for Van Kel Industries, in Princeton, NJ for many years. She was a member of Mary Mother of God Church in Hillsborough, and a former member of the Hillsborough Woman's Club. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and most of all, spending time with her cats. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph. Surviving, are her son Tim and his wife Cindy of Hillsborough, her daughter Michele Casey and her husband Michael of Flemington, and her grandson Justin. A funeral service will be Tuesday, December 30th at 12 pm in the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 US Highway 206, Hillsborough NJ 08844. Burial will follow in Neshanic Cemetery. Visiting for family and friends will be 2 hours prior, from 10-12.

Mary Ann Grace Kalinowski AGE: 79 • Avenel Mary Ann Grace Kalinowski passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 at home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. She was 79 years old. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Avenel for the past 50 years. Mrs. Kalinowski was employed at Sciortino's Bakery in Avenel and as a Machine Tender for Revlon in Edison for many years before retiring in 1997. She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel. Mrs. Kalinowski was predeceased by her husband, Raymond S. Kalinowski, in 2007; and her parents, Joseph and Veronica Grace. Surviving are three daughters, Karen Lorentz and her husband, Robert, of North Oaks, MN, Jeanne Jenkins and her husband, Robert, of Avenel and Mary Ellen Lisco and her husband Dominick, III of Middlesex; three sisters, Patricia Kearns of Palmetto, FL, Judith Matusaites of Bayonne and Veronica Scherbert of Jackson; two brothers, Joseph Grace of Jersey City and Edward Grace of Mendham; seven grandchildren, Kristin, Kimberly, Amanda, Nicole, Robert, Julie and Emma; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Interment will follow in Valor Hill at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, 65 James Street, Edison, NJ 08820.

Kolwicz, Edward C. - 91, Metuchen  
Edward C. Kolwicz AGE: 91 • Metuchen Edward C. Kolwicz, 91, of Metuchen, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014, at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living, Edison. Born in Bayonne, he resided in Metuchen for 50 years. Edward was a welder. He was a member of St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen and a member of their choir. He was also a member of the Metuchen Senior Citizens and the Metuchen Historical Society. Edward was a sculptor and painter for which he won numerous awards. He is predeceased by his wife Marie Kolwicz; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will take place Saturday, January 3, 2015, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm with a funeral service at 3:30pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. (Rt.27) Metuchen ( costello-runyon.com ). Josephine Klein AGE: 98 • Sayreville Josephine Klein age 98 of Sayreville passed away Monday December 22, 2014 at Rivers Edge Rehab Center, Raritan. Born is Sayreville she was a lifelong borough resident. Before her retirement she was employed by Brodsky and Sons in South River as a seamstress for forty years. Josephine was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, the Sayreville Senior Citizens, the St. Joseph's Lodge and was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C Church in Sayreville where she was member of the Rosary Society. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Klein, her parents John and Mary Gnacek, her brothers Joseph, Walter and Edward Gnacek, her sisters Catherine Gnacek and Genevieve Slater. Josephine is survived by many nieces nephews, her two grandchildren Joseph and Michele Sieling and her daughter Arlene and son in law Fredrick Sieling. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:30am at the Maliszewski Memorial Home with a 10am mass being offered at St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C Church in Sayreville. Katherine Kolczynski AGE: 83 • West Creek Katherine Kolczynski, 83, of West Creek passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, with her loving family by her side. Pre-deceased by her parents and her brother Joseph; she is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert; he two sons, Robert and Michael Kolczynski of NJ; her daughter Linda Egdahl and her husband Bruce of CT.; two grandchildren, Eric and Lauren; her brother William Komar, and her sister MaryAnn Cremona and her husband Joe. Katherine enjoyed sewing, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. She was a graduate of the University of Miami in OH. Katherine ran the General Store in North Beach Haven on Long Beach Island, NJ. Kwiatkowski, MaryAnne - 72, Mahwah  
MaryAnne Kwiatkowski AGE: 72 • Mahwah MaryAnne (nee DiNapoli), 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. MaryAnne was born in Teaneck, New Jersey on July 10, 1942, and was a long term resident of Hackensack, New Jersey and currently resided in Mahwah New Jersey. MaryAnne was an RN graduate from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Passaic N.J. She also mastered course studies in Social Work at St. Peters College and Rutgers University where she was awarded a Master's Degree. Most of her medical career centered in the New Brunswick School System where she excelled as a School Nurse and Social Worker for 34 years. Her extraordinary love and inspiration touched the lives of countless children that attended the Lord Sterling School where she spent 26 years on staff. Her innovative health care programs, vibrant and caring personality will be missed by the children she nurtured and everyone with whom she touched. MaryAnne is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years Dr. George Kwiatkowski. Brother-in-law Edward Kwiatkowski, sister-in-law Anita McManus Kwiatkowski. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, countless close friends, especially her lunch buddy and inseparable pal Mrs. Sharon Shari. MaryAnne is predeceased by her father, James G. DiNapoli, her mother, Pauline Nicolas DiNapoli, sister Antoinette and brother James G. DiNapoli II. Family will receive friends on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey.
