Beatrice L. Allgood AGE: 78 • Ocean Twp. Beatrice Lucille Allgood, 78, of Ocean Twp., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. She was born in Wise, NC, the oldest of five children reared by the late Samuel and Beatrice Mayfield. Lucille as she was known to everyone, moved to Red Bank, NJ 62 years ago and raised seven wonderful children. She is predeceased by her husband Mr. Roy Allgood, and a very special friend Mr. Monroe Cagle. Lucille was a dedicated member of Union Missionary Baptist Church in Middletown. She faithfully served Union as Pastor's Aide, Sunday school teacher, Deaconess, usher, missionary, and church treasurer. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 27:1 "The Lord is My Light and My Salvation" and her favorite song was "This Little Light of Mine". Lucille owned and operated Lucille's Catering Service of Monmouth County for 23 years and believed her success and notoriety came first from her steadfast faith in God, and secondly by consistently creating great food. She often stated that, "I am truly blessed to do what I love, cooking!" Her culinary gifts were enjoyed over the years by a multitude of people at family and society events throughout Monmouth County, and her comforting personality often turned longtime clients into family. Lucille was a member of the RB Senior Center, RB Senior Women's Club, Red Bank Area Church Women United, RB Christian Women's Club, Nat'l Council of Negro Women, Tinton Falls Senior Citizens Club, Soroptimist International Club. She was a talented and competitive bowler and enjoyed her time with the Neptune Senior Bowler's Club. She was a dedicated contributor to many charitable organizations including the Cancer Society, United Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Monmouth Conservation Foundation, Count Basie Learning Center, Monmouth County Urban League, and Lunch Break Inc. Lucille leaves to celebrate her life her children: Lonnie (Margaret) of Somerset, NJ, Sandy (Eugene) of Ringoes, NJ, Clarence of AL, Michelle of Neptune, NJ, Alfreda (Frank) of Dallas, TX, Roberta and (Eugene) of Red Bank, NJ and Christopher of Freehold, NJ, her grandchildren; Mercedes, Julius, Clarence Jr., Kyle, Samantha, Troy, Nicolette, Sirita, her great-grandchildren; Kylee, and Talayla, sisters: Esther Mayfield of Wise, NC, Helen Mayfield of Bronx, NY and Carolyn Davis of Raleigh, NC, sister-in-law; Joyce Mayfield of MD, nieces; Conchetta, Patrina, and nephews; Maurice, Jonathan, Darius, and Andre Jr. The family would like to thank special friends of Mom, Pat Carroll, Anne Craig, Kathy Dixon and the Reynolds family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd from 4-8pm at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, NJ. Lucille's Going Home service will take place on Wednesday, February 4th 11:00 AM at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 819 Church Lane, Middletown, NJ 07748. Interment will be Saturday, February 7th at Locust Grove Cemetery, Wise, NC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Union Missionary Baptist Church. Anderson, Mary J. - 104, Plainfield  
Mary J. Anderson AGE: 104 • Plainfield Mary Jordan Anderson passed into eternal rest on January 26, 2015, after a brief illness at her home. She was born in Ridgeway, NC on February 26, 1910. Mary was the daughter of William Jordan and Elsa Twitty Jordan. She was raised in Ridgeway with her two brothers, William and Eugene, and her sister, Mattie, before moving north in 1929. Her mother affectionately called her "a little chocolate drop on the road somewhere." A resident of Plainfield, NJ since 1930, Mary was predeceased in 1964 by her husband of 32 years, Ashby T. Anderson. They had no children. She is survived by a niece, Mary J. Goode of Ridgeway, and her family friend and caregiver, Richard Loosli, whom she knew since his childhood. Graciousness and gratitude made her friends everywhere. Burial at Franklin Memorial Park is by arrangement with Judkins Colonial Home of Plainfield.

Ash, Meredith Virginia - 69, Manahawkin  
Meredith Virginia Ash AGE: 69 • Manahawkin Meredith Virginia Clark Ash, born to Myrtle Jackson Clark and Franklin Clark, passed from this life to be with her heavenly father at 69 years of age on January 22, 2015 in Manahawkin, NJ. Meredith, along with her husband were life long residents of Long Beach Island. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 49 years, David Packard Ash Sr.; her daughter, Jody and son, David Jr.; grandchildren, Jerrica, Chante, Chelsea and Ryan, as well as two great-grandsons Oliver and Rebel. Her brother Greg also survives her, as well as a legacy of love. In 1964, she graduated Chatham High School and went on to graduate from Wilfred Beauty Academy in Newark. She founded Simply Hair in 1976. Meredith dedicated her life to serving others. Some of her outreaches included Atlantic City Rescue Mission, Ocean County Jail, Chaplain of Teton County and Jefferson County Jails. She was known for her wonderful Gift of Mercy, Bible teachings and ministering to others. Besides Long Beach Island, NJ her wonderful life was lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the mountains of Colorado. Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 at Grace Calvary Church, 1902 Long Beach Blvd., Ship Bottom, NJ. Visitation with family from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon; Service at 12 noon. Gathering for time of fellowship and food after. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: Atlantic City Rescue Mission, Harvey Cedars Bible Conference, WYRS radio station or Grace Calvary Church.

Antonina Alfeo AGE: 80 • Manchester Antonina Alfeo died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at home. She was 80. Born in Sicily, she came to the United States in the early 1950's. She resided in Brooklyn, NY from 1954-2001 before settling in Manchester until 2014. Prior to retiring, Antonina worked as a seamstress in Brooklyn. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Giuseppe, in November 2005. Surviving are her children: Vincent Alfeo and his wife Lisa of Jackson, and Franca Montefinese and her husband Vincenzo of Howell; and 5 grandchildren: Pasquale, Giuseppe and his wife Stephanie, Joanna and her fiancé Peter, Antonia, and Joseph. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lakewood on Friday at 11AM. Entombment will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood. Alles, Marian Campbell "Hen" - 87, Manville  
Marian Campbell Alles "Hen" AGE: 87 • Manville Marian Campbell Alles, 87, died peacefully at home on January 25, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Marian Harmonosky, parents Alex and Anna Campbell, brothers Robert and Dan, sisters Margaret, Kate, Helen and Anna. Marian is survived by her daughter Heidi and her companion Andy Zangara of Manville, granddaughter Joanna Campbell Harmonosky and her fiancé Michael Mietlicki of Lawrenceville, son-in-law Joseph Harmonosky of Manville and nieces Judy and Barbara Robertson of Scottsdale, AZ. She is also survived by her best friend of 70 years, Carmel Montini of Pittston, PA. Born in Pittson, PA, she moved to Manville in 1960. Early in her career, Marian was employed by the Somerset Messenger Gazette and Ray Bateman & Associates. She retired in 1991 from Somerset County, where she was an Executive Secretary to the County Administrator. She was a member of the Bound Brook Presbyterian Church and the Bound Brook Women of the Moose Chapter 1232. In her later years, Marian attended the Adult Day Care of Somerset County where she was treated like a Queen and fancied herself the director. Marian's life was dedicated to raising and loving her daughters and granddaughter. She was an avid tennis fan who also enjoyed Atlantic City and being the life of the party. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville NJ 08835 on Thursday, January 29 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, January 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin on Friday, January 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Minister Nancy Birdsong officiating. Argeris, Dana C. - 65, Wayside  
Dana C. Argeris AGE: 65 • Wayside Dana C. Argeris, age 65 of Wayside, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 24, 2015, at Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. Dana was born in Ithaca, NY on August 6, 1949, and grew up in Interlaken and Deal, NJ.He was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft (1967) He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia, where he also played on the golf team, and his J.D. cum laude from Suffolk University. An attorney for nearly 40 years, Dana most recently was senior counsel at Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin in Cherry Hill, NJ. Prior to that, he was a managing partner of Carton Arvanitis McGreevy Argeris Zager & Aikins of Neptune, NJ, where he practiced for 29 years. Dana was an outstanding golfer and enjoyed playing for many years at the Deal Golf & Country Club. He loved cheering on the Virginia Cavaliers and the Boston Red Sox. Dana brought joy to everyone around him. His ability to find humor in any situation was remarkable. His love for his family, sense of responsibility, kindness and unwavering gratitude will always be remembered. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Dana's loving nature will live on in his beloved family. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jeanne Argeris, of Ocean, NJ, four children, Christina (Mark) Thigpen, of Charlotte, NC; Stephen (Priscilla) Argeris, of Kensington, MD; Elizabeth Argeris, of Washington, DC; and Meredith Argeris, of New York City; three grandchildren, Maria, Rhodes and Peter; his mother Bette Argeris Blanc and stepfather Franklin Blanc of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; and sisters Nancy (Michael) Naldrett of Charlemont, MA, and Stephanie (Julio) Ugalde of Cuenca, Ecuador, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Stephen A. Argeris. Visitation will be on Thursday Jan. 29 from 4-7pm in Buckley Funeral Home 509 Second Ave. Asbury Park NJ. Atheras, Allen John - 78, Brick  
Allen John Atheras AGE: 78 • Brick Allen John Atheras, 78, of Brick passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. He was born in New York City and raised in Spring Lake, NJ. Allen lived in Wall Township for 45 years before moving to Brick two years ago. He attended both St. Francis University in Loretto, PA and Monmouth University in Long Branch, NJ, and received his BA in English. He had taught English and Special Education in Point Pleasant Boro and Brisbane Child Treatment Center in Wall. Allen was a bartender and general manager of the Bluffs, Bay Head, for 14 years. He was also the general manager for several restaurants throughout New Jersey. His last eight years before retirement Allen was the general manager of Petersons Riviera Inn, Brick. Throughout his life Allen was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed duck hunting, decoy collecting, fishing and shooting firearms. He was instrumental in the ever-popular annual Decoy Shows at the Bluffs, Bay Head. Allen was a founding member of the New Jersey Waterfowlers Assoc. He was a member and past president of the Northwest Gun Club, a member and past officer of Monmouth County Rifle & Pistol Club, and a member of both Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club and SASS (Single Action Shooting Society). Allen was predeceased by his wife of over 45 years, Patty Atheras, in 2012. He is survived by two sons, Rick Atheras of Singer Island, FL, and Dr. Allen J. Atheras and his wife Nancy of Brick, as well his Daughter, Stacey Atheras O'Neill and her husband Mick of NYC and Point Pleasant. Allen is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Brian, Dan, Drew, Emily, Aris, Whitney and Nicholas. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, January 29, from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals at 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Friday, January 30, at St. Martha's Church, Pt. Pleasant. The burial will be private.
