Barbara F. Birmingham AGE: 90 • Sayreville Barbara F. Birmingham age 90 of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Thursday May 28, 2015 at her home with her loving and devoted family at her side. Born in New London Conn. she resided in Staten Island before moving to Sayreville 60 years ago. Mrs. Birmingham had taught CCD at Sacred Heart R.C. Church and later at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church. She was a founding Member of Animal Rescue Force, N.J. Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Ambassador of Sjogrens Foundation and a Master Gardner for Rutgers University. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur F. Birmingham Jr. in 1992, her daughter Nancy Palmer in 1996, her grandchildren Colleen O'Connor in 1989 and Richard Hentz in 1987, her parents James & Alice Haynes, and her siblings James A. Haynes II and Alice Manley. Surviving are her children and their spouses Barbara & William Sullivan of Rochester N.Y., Arthur & Karen Birmingham III of Gladstone, Susan & Crane Hentz of Sayreville, Kathleen Birmingham & Lauren Bianco of Lake Arial, Pa., Stephen & Siranee Birmingham of Sayreville, Thomas Birmingham of Morgan and Dr Mary Birmingham & Anthony Trufolo of Little Silver, her 12 grandchildren Nancy Birkmeyer, William & Tara Sullivan, Rebecca Birmingham, Jennifer & Brian Hentz, Ryan, Robert & Patrick McCue, Angela Birmingham, Anthony & Sarah Trufolo and 8 great grandchildren Maggie, Jack, Charlie, Molly, Josie, Ossian, Adelyn and Keegan. She also leaves behind her cherished pets. Funeral services will be held Monday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:30am mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 5pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Sjogren Foundation. Bornheimer, George J. - 85, Highland Park  
George J. Bornheimer AGE: 85 • Highland Park George J. Bornheimer, 85 years old passed away May 28, 2015 at his home in Toms River. Born in New Brunswick he resided in Highland Park, NJ before moving to Toms River in 1992. George served in the United States Army during the Korean War, he was a communicant of St. Luke's RC Church, a member of the New Brunswick Elks, Highland Park Knights of Columbus and he was very active in several organizations in the Adult Community of Greenbriar Woodlands. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Pearl in 2001. Surviving are his children George Jr. and Anitra Bornheimer, Linda and Gary Patullo, Susan and Bruce Schickner, his 8 grandchildren Kevin and Nikki, Christopher and Genna, Michael and Sara, Curtis, Brian and Ali, Tyler, Alexis and George III. Also surviving are his 3 cherished great grandchildren Lauren, Logan and Jake. Visiting will be Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. Edward J. Bauer AGE: 82 • South Amboy Edward J. Bauer, 82, of South Amboy died on Thursday May 21, 2015 at Venetian Care and Rehabilitation Center, South Amboy. Born in Newark, he lived in Avenel and Whiting before moving to South Amboy. Before retiring he was employed as a truck driver for Emory Air Freight, Newark. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Son of the late Edward and Emma McCombs Bauer, he is also predeceased by his wife, Joan McMurray Bauer, his son, Frank Stroehlein, his brother, Robert Bauer and his sister, Judith Jelinski. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie and Brian Dugan, Lynn and Alex Nesenjuk, and Nancy and Thomas Palchanes; his sisters, Sharon Fallon and Virginia Quirk; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 30, 2015 from 1 to 3pm at the common room of the Gillette Manor, 650 Washington Avenue, South Amboy. Black, Josephine Stockman - New Brunswick  
Josephine Stockman Black AGE: 84 • Fredericksburg, VA Josephine Stockman Black of Fredericksburg, Va. died Tuesday at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. She was 84 years old. Born in Newark she lived in Edison before moving to Fredericksburg 4 years ago. Mrs. Black was employed as an Office Manager at Johnson and Johnson in New Brunswick for 40 years retiring in 1996. She was predeceased by her husband Alan Thompson Black in 1996 and a daughter Barbara Black in 1990. She is survived by a son Eric Black of Fredericksburg, Va., a sister Mary Lou Pettipaw of Woodbridge and 2 grandchildren Sean and Briana Black both of Fredericksburg, Va. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 30th at 10:30 am from the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue in Edison. Burial will follow in Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 9 am to 10:30 am at the funeral home.

Blomgren, Nancy Ann (Monson) - 84, Bridgewater  
Nancy Ann (Monson) Blomgren AGE: 84 • Bridgewater Bridgewater - Nancy Ann (Monson) Blomgren, 84, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her home. She was born at home in Buffalo Prarie, IL on October 24, 1930, a daughter of the late Clair and Ruth Vanatta Monson. She had resided in Rock Island, IL and Naperville, IL before moving to Bridgewater in 1968. Mrs. Blomgren was the administrative assistant of the Pluckemin Presbyterian Church for 18 years during the 1980s and 1990s. She was a longtime member of the church and had served as Clerk of Session for many years. Nancy was very active within her community having given many volunteer hours to the ARC of Somerset in Manville and to the Pluckemin Presbyterian Church. While living in Naperville, IL in the mid 1960s, Nancy along with her husband, Tom, founded The Little Friends School; a preschool serving the developmentally disabled, a first of its kind in the area. Nancy will be remembered for her sincerity, warmth and kindness. Her family, friends and church were predominant in her life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a loyal friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Thomas E. Blomgren, who died September 19, 2004; and by a sister, Edith McCreight. Mrs. Blomgren is survived by her three children, Britt A. and his wife, Jill A., of Milford, Amy J. of Bridgewater and Ted A. and his wife, Janice A., of Easton, NY; four grandchildren, Lillian Rose and Zoe Fay Blomgren of Milford and Nathan Augustus and Jacob Lee Blomgren of Easton, NY; three sisters, Uneta MacIsaac of Gilbert, AZ, Leah Danielson of Rock Island, IL and Beverly Adair of Phoenix, AZ; and several loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 30 at the Pluckemin Presbyterian Church. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the ARC of Somerset, 141 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 or the Pluckemin Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 402, Pluckemin, NJ 07978. Born in Brooklyn, he resided in Staten Island until moving to Tinton Falls 17 years ago. He graduated from Monsignor Farrell High School, Iona College and received a Masters from Columbia University. He is survived by his beloved wife Christine, his loving daughters Gabrielle and Alexandra, his devoted parents Angela and Milton, and siblings Milton and his wife Marie and Lisa Atlas and her husband Terryl. Also surviving are his Aunts Gina Viscardi, Nancy Pesce and Merle Chang and many nieces and nephews. Bernice Blames AGE: 78 • Camden Bernice Blames, age 78, of Camden passed on May 25, 2015. Bernice was born September 17, 1936 in Chatom, Alabama. She moved to Neptune, NJ in early 1960s where she began a new life. She was active in the churches & community. Bernice retired from Brisbane Child Care Center in the late 1990s and moved to Asbury Park where she continued to serve in the church. She passed away while battling a long term sickness. Richard Aidan Bonner Jr. AGE: 67 • Clayton, NC Richard Aidan Bonner, Jr., 67, passed away on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Staten Island, NY on Feb. 22, 1948, he was the son of Mary Theresa Brennan Bonner and the late Richard Aidan Bonner, Sr. Richard was a loving father and grandfather. He was a proud American who served his country in Vietnam. He worked for 20 years at Fort Monmouth for the Department of the Army. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Bonner (nee Bride); children, Christopher Bonner and wife, Sandra and Colleen Bonner; grandchildren, Graydon and Gwendolyn Bonner; mother, Mary Theresa Bonner; and siblings, Elizabeth Ittner, Margaret Hoffmann, Stephen Bonner, Michael Bonner, Gregory Bonner, and Mary Bonner; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
