Cassidy, Mathew Peter - 85, Brick  
Mathew Peter Cassidy AGE: 85 • Brick Mathew Peter Cassidy, 85, of Brick, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2014. Born in New York City to the late Peter and Georgiana Cassidy, he grew up in Leonia, NJ and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Cassidy then achieved his undergraduate degree from New York University before finishing his masters at Farleigh Dickenson University. He was a Mechanical Engineer, who ended his career as Executive Vice President with Precision Fabrics division of Burlington Industries, of Greensboro, North Carolina. Mr. Cassidy and his beloved late wife, Barbara Anne, raised their family in Ridgewood, NJ and was a former resident of Spring Lake before moving to Brick fourteen years ago. He enjoyed playing golf and bridge, was an avid reader, and spending quality time with his loving family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara Anne Van Horn in 2007, and his dear sons, Michael and Mark Cassidy, his sister Ann Lieb, and brothers George and Peter Cassidy. Surviving are his loving children, Christopher Cassidy and wife Dorothy, Teresa Higgins and husband Christopher, Richard Edward Cassidy, and Patricia Daly and husband Sean, his ten cherished grandchildren, his two great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 20th at 10:30AM at St. Martha R.C. Church, Point Pleasant. Interment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery, Wall. Cassiere, Florence - Belleville  
Florence Cassiere AGE: 94 • Florence Cassiere, 94, passed away at home in Freehold Tuesday December 16, 2014. Mrs. Cassiere was employed by MGM Records in Bloomfield as a press operator for 10 years. She was then employed as the cafeteria supervisor of Montclair Kimberly Academy in Montclair for 12 years, retiring in 1972. Mrs. Cassiere is survived by her son Anthony and his wife Debra, brother Salvatore Ascolese, grandchildren Anthony, Christopher, Toni Lynn, Thomas, Benjamin, great grandchildren Dominic, Evan, Jake, Jianna, Lia, Vincent, and Benjamin. She was predeceased by her husband Benjamin, daughter Annette Conforti, parents Anthony and Mary (nee Lombardi) Ascolese, siblings Frank, Rose and Josephine Ascolese. Penelope Christodoulou AGE: 70 • Manchester Twp. Penelope Christodoulou, 70, of Manchester Twp. passed away December 15, 2014 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Penelope was a motor vehicle clerk for Liccardi Ford Lincoln, Union before retiring. Born in Newark, she resided in Union before moving to Manchester Twp. in 2006. Coiro, Theresa - Clifton  
Theresa Coiro AGE: 84 • formerly of Clifton Theresa Coiro (nee McDermott), 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014. Born in Newark she resided in Clifton before retiring to Jim Thorpe, PA 28 years ago. Theresa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed. She enjoyed bowling, Irish music and spending time with family and friends. Theresa is predeceased by Anthony Coiro, Sr., her beloved husband of 47 years and her adored son, Anthony Coiro, Jr. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Robert Higgins of Manasquan, Diane and Joseph Revfi of Pompton Lakes, and Joyce and Yale Harr of Hewitt; a sister, Margaret Rendaro of Hudson, MA; 8 grandchildren, Eric and wife Donna, Jason, Scott and fiancée Rachael, Shawn and wife Jessica, Jamie, Bryan, Julie and Jeffrey; and 2 great-grandchildren, Ryan and Ava. Lois M Conti AGE: 83 • Lakewood Lois M Conti 83, of Lakewood died Wednesday, December 10th after a brief illness. She is predeceased by her husband, Zefferino Conti. She is survived by her daughters Barbara (Thomas Boehly) of Webster, NY, Janet Sokol of Allendale, and Caroline (Andrew Terry) of Bear, DE. Also surviving are her 7 cherished grandchildren, Jeffrey, Shannon, Jaclyn, Clare, Melanie, Matthew, and Ilya. She grew up in Demarest and raised her family in Norwood before retiring to Toms River and Lakewood. She was employed for 12 years by the Northern Valley Regional School District before retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Pinelands Reformed Church, Toms River and belonged to their Choir and Bell Ringers. She also belonged to the Holiday City Choir. A talented musician, seamstress, and artist, she will be remembered through her art. A private Funeral service and interment will be held on Friday, December 19th in the Chapel at the Brigadier Gen. Cunningham, Jeffrey B. - 60, Ocean  
Jeffrey B. Cunningham AGE: 60 • Ocean Jeffrey B. Cunningham, 60, of Ocean, NJ, passed away on Monday, December 15 after a brief illness. Jeffrey grew up in Essex Fells and lived in Verona prior to moving to Ocean, NJ where he established a successful electrical contracting business. He was the owner of K & J Electric in Ocean County and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Jeff had a lifelong passion for sailing and was an avid fisherman. He was a loving and compassionate soul who adored spending time with family and his many friends. Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Charlotte, and three children Christopher, Laura and Thomas; his brothers Scott and LTCOL Jon C. Cunningham, USMC (Ret). He also leaves behind many loving Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. A celebration of Jeffrey's life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Verona, 10 Fairview Avenue, Verona on Friday, December 19 at 11 am. Helen M. Mackey Chadwick AGE: 89 • Spring Lake Heights Helen Mackey Chadwick, 89, of Spring Lake Heights, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Putnam, Connecticut, in 1925, she grew up in Elmhurst, Long Island, and moved to Neptune in 1957. After the death of her husband, Robert J. Chadwick, in 1985, she moved to Spring Lake Heights where she resided until her death. Her great joy was in being a grandmother to five fine grandchildren: Shawn, Steven and Kelsey Chadwick of Neptune and Thomas and Robert Chadwick of Moorpark, CA. She also took pleasure in playing bridge with friends and was an avid reader. She was a member of St. Catharine's Catholic Church of Spring Lake. In addition to her grandchildren, she is survived by her sons, Richard Chadwick and wife Cynthia of Moorpark, CA, and Mark Chadwick and wife Linda of Neptune, former daughter-in-law Nancy Chadwick and granddaughter-in-law Audrey Chadwick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 from 5-8pm followed by a Funeral Service on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 9:30am at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Ciaglia, Anthony - 61, Oceanport  
Anthony Ciaglia AGE: 61 • Oceanport Anthony Ciaglia passed away at home after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer on Friday, December 12 with his son Chaz and partner Jeanine at his side. Born in Red Bank to the late Vincent James and Rachel (nee Rapolla) Ciaglia, he lived most of his life in Red bank. He was a graduate of Red Bank High School. A resident of Oceanport, Anthony had a long career in the restaurant business. In 1971 he partnered with his brother Danny to open Danny's in Little Silver, and later opened Danny's II in Middletown. At the time of his death, he was the owner and operator of Attilios Restaurant in West Long Branch with his partner Jeanine Perazzo. Anthony's greatest passion in life was fishing. As a licensed Captain he chartered many vessels. Among his favorite boats was Brokers. Anthony could often be seen in the local papers with his award winning trophy fish. Anthony is survived by his son, Chaz Ciaglia of Little Silver, His partner Jeanine Perazzo and her twin sons Alec and Zach, brother Vincent Ciaglia and his wife Ann of Tequesta, Florida; brother Dan Ciaglia and Cathy Corcione and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be at John Day Funeral Home in Red Bank, N.J. on Wednesday December 17 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Church in Red Bank on Thursday, December 18 at 9AM followed by internment at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Middletown. Mr. William J. Carson AGE: 65 • Brick William J. Carson, 65, of Brick passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. Mr. Carson was a carpenter for G & L Framing in Lakewood before retiring 15 years ago. He served in the US Marines during the Vietnam War from 1969-1974. He was a member of the Point Pleasant Elks Lodge # 1698, Jackson Moose Lodge # 1459, Brick VFW # 8867 and the Loose Goose Bike Club of New Jersey. Born in Florence, Oregon, He lived in Howell and Point Pleasant before moving to Brick 10 years ago. Mr. Carson was preceded in death by his parents, William Carson, Dolores Carson and Audrey Carson. Surviving are his sons, Nicholas Carson of Florida, William J. Carson and his wife, Jennifer of Howell, Keith Carson and his wife, Robyn also of Howell, Adam Carson of Philadelphia, PA; daughters, Kimberly Carson of Brick, Shannon Przewoznic of Point Pleasant and Jennifer Jacobson and her husband, Brian of Manahawkin; brother, Richard Carson of Manchester; sister, Erin Frank of Manchester and Carol Morris of Arizona. He also leaves his grandchildren, Nick and Hailey Boho and Paityn, Avery and William, Jr. Carson and Ava and Jack Przewoznic, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A prayer service will be held on Thursday 10am in the funeral home.
