Gerald G. Lubrano AGE: 86 • Manchester Gerald "Jerry" Lubrano, 86 of Leisure Village West, Manchester died peacefully Friday September 26 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was selfless and humble, funny and friendly, and his kindness was an inspiration to all who knew him. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. After the war Jerry began a successful career as a sales representative for Nabisco. He attended college in the evenings and on weekends and eventually received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was later promoted to National Account Manager for RJR Nabisco, selling Planter's Peanuts and other food products to the largest retail chains in the country before retiring in 1989. He belonged to many clubs in Leisure Village West. He was a parishioner of St John's Church, Lakehurst. Born in Union City, Jerry lived in Bergenfield for 21 years, and in Morris Township also for 21 years before moving to Manchester 13 years ago. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Gloria; his daughter, Jean Ann and husband Andrew Taylor; 5 sons: Gerald and Sabrina, Thomas, Paul and his wife Tina, Michael and his wife Angelica, and Joseph and his wife Jill. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Anita Malanka, & Patricia Godfrey; and 11 grandchildren: Keith, Alexandra, Nicholas, Brady, Marc, Jerry, Melissa, Julia, Michael, Franky, and Joseph. Also loved by many as Uncle Jerry and cherished friend. Visitation is Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Tuesday at 10 am at St John's Church, Lakehurst with interment to follow at the Brigadier Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
