Funeral services will be held at 11am, Sat., July 2nd, at Sharon Baptist Church, 25 Howard St., New Brunswick. Viewing is from 9am, until the time of service. Bertha (Ippolito) John AGE: 94 • Brick Bertha (Ippolito) John, age 94, of Brick passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Laurelton Village Nursing Home in Brick. Born and raised in Newark, she moved to Brick over 40 years ago. She operated Ippolito's Lemon Ice and Pork Store which was a family business in Newark for over 30 years. Bertha attended St. Dominic's Church in Brick. She loved to shop, cook and clean. Bertha was predeceased by her husband Joseph John in 1976, her sisters Rose Venticinque and Catherine Cilento, and her brothers Joseph, Peter and Carmen Ippolito. She is survived by her daughters Carol Herb and her husband Kenneth of Arizona and Jo Ann Alfano of Brick; 5 grandchildren, Dawn Amberg, Dana Diakunczak, Stephanie Herb, and Joseph and Anthony Alfano; and 7 great-grandchildren, Robert, Ashley and Kendall Amberg, Brianna and Michael Diakunczak, and Anthony Joseph and Dominick John Alfano. Visiting hours are Thursday, June 30, 2016, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick, NJ. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Dominic's Church, Brick, followed by interment at St. Catharine's Cemetery, Wall Township. Koudelik, Patricia Ann - 71, Forked River  
Patricia Ann Koudelik AGE: 71 • Forked River Patricia Ann Koudelik , (nee Cox) age 71 of Forked River passed away peacefully at her home on Monday June 27, 2016. She was born in Union and had lived in Cranford before moving to Forked River in 1963. Mrs. Koudelik was a School Aid for the Lacey Township Board of Education for 33 years, before retiring in 2007. She was a founding member of the Lacey Soccer Club and was active in the Lacey Softball League. Patricia was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 53 years David J., her daughter Candace S. Koudelik, two sons, David J. Jr. and Douglas J. She is also survived by her brother Jack Cox, a sister Pam Brewster, and her five grandchildren, Jarrad, Devinn, Kevin, Dale and Darrian. She also has 2 great grandchildren Oliver and Daphne. A viewing will be held on Thursday June 30 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and on Friday July 1, from 9:30-10:00 am at the Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9 (aka North Main Street), Forked River, NJ 08731. A time of sharing will be on Friday at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment shall follow at Good Luck Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Forked River Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 32, Forked River, NJ 08731 in Pat's memory would be appreciated.

Leonhardt DDS, Thomas Edward - 84, Boynton Beach, Fl And Formerly Sea Gi  
Thomas Edward Leonhardt, DDS AGE: 84 • Boynton Beach, FL & Formerly Sea Girt Thomas Edward Leonhardt DDS, 84, of Boynton Beach, FL and formerly of Sea Girt, passed away on June 26, 2016. Born and raised in Clifton, his parents were Dr. Frank and Elizabeth (Reid) Leonhardt. He went on to St. Benedicts Prep, then to St. Vincent's College, PA, and then onto Georgetown University Dental School. From 1950-1952 he was on the Aircraft Carrier USS Bon Homme Richard during the Korean War. He fulfilled his military duties. He was later called back to the military with the Libyan Conflict. He was honorably discharged from the Navy reserves in 1966. He had a successful practice in Hackensack, NJ, before moving his practice to Sea Girt and Spring Lake Heights. Upon retiring and permanently residing in Boynton Beach, FL, he kept busy as a substitute teacher for math and science in middle schools in Palm Beach, FL, until 2016. Tom was a faithful member of the Holy Name Society and Communicant at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Boynton Beach. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Beverly (nee Bahr), of 38 years. Sons Eric and Diane Leonhardt, Todd and Jamie Leonhardt, Jeffrey and Erica Maves, James Leonhardt, Glenn and Michelle Maves, Christopher and Nicole Leonhardt. Many loving grandchildren, a great grandchild, nieces and nephews and friends. Tom loved the beach and reading books, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. All are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 215 Crescent Parkway, Sea Girt, on Thursday, June 30 at 9:30am. Ronald Lieberman AGE: 75 • Holiday City West, BerkeleyTwp. Ronald Lieberman, 75, of Holiday City West section of Berkeley Twsp., NJ, died on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at his home. Ronald was born in Newark, NJ and lived in East Brunswick, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twsp., NJ 13 years ago. He worked as a sprinkler fitter for Union Local #696 out of Newark, NJ. Ronald was on the Union Local #696 Executive Board for many years and a Union member for 52 years. He also was the Chair of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee and on the Union Negotiating Committee. Ronald was a volunteer for Catholic Charities. He was a Giants Footfall fan and enjoyed poker, golfing and especially proud of his 300 game in bowling. Ronald loved spending time with his family and friends. Ronald is predeceased by his parents Charles and Rose Lieberman. Surviving is his loving wife Joy Lieberman of Berkeley Twsp., NJ; his children Elizabeth Lieberman of Aberdeen, NJ, Charles Lieberman and his wife Tanya of E. Brunswick, NJ, Ron Lieberman and his wife Connie of Howell, NJ and Laurie Eitel and her husband Erik of Jackson, NJ; his brothers Eugene Lieberman and his wife Tremaine of NJ and Joel Lieberman and his wife Joan of SC and his 14 grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 4-8pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday July 1, 2016 at 10am at St. Joseph RC Church Toms River, NJ. Burial will follow to New Calvary Cemetery Parlin, NJ. Anthony W. Massari AGE: 72 • Middletown Anthony W. Massari, 72, of Middletown, NJ, died on June 26, 2016 in Shrewsbury, NJ. He was born in Wilmington, DE and lived in Teaneck moving to Middletown. Anthony was a graduate of Middletown High School class of 1963. He proudly served his Country in the US National Guard during the Vietnam War. Anthony was a self employed contractor and owner of Massari and Sons. Anthony was a long time member of the NHRA and loved to race. Surviving are wife of 33 years, Maureen Holland Massari, daughter & son-in-law, Melanie and Antonio Toirac; son, John Massari; daughter, Melissa and Augusto Lugo; two son & daughter-in-laws, Peter and Joy VanNortwick, Matthew and Gina VanNortwick; 6 grandchildren, Jack, Charles, Catherine, Madison, Nicholas, and Christian; sister and brother in law, Mary Jane and Thomas Carey; 5 favorite nephews, Tommy, Timmy, Tony, Chuckie, and John; sister-in-law, Wendy Leith Bennett. Mathis, Robert J. - 85, Forked River  
Robert J Mathis AGE: 85 • Forked River Robert J. Mathis, age 85 of Forked River, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday June 25, 2016. Robert was born in Jersey City, and had lived in Secaucus before moving to Forked River in 1981. For many years he owned and operated a coffee and food truck in the Clifton area and then he owned and operated Robbie M's Deli, in Bayville. He was a communicant of St. Mary's RC Church, Barnegat, where he also belonged to the Pet Pantry at St. Mary's, he belonged to the Old Guard of Forked River, the Lacey Elk's Lodge #2518, where he was a life member and had served as House Manager. Bob was the first one to lend a helping hand, some of his favorite expressions were "No Problem", "Laugh Everyday" and Rise Above It". Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Florence, in 2014. Surviving are his loving daughter Patti Mathis and her husband Bob Smith, and his dear grandson Robbie Smith and his loving companion "Mr. Flower" A viewing will be held on Friday July 1, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and on Saturday July 2, from 8:45-9:15 am at the Riggs Funeral Home, 130 Rt. 9 North (aka North Main Street), Forked River, NJ 08731. Christopher S. Pappas AGE: 54 • Toms River Christopher S. Pappas, age 54, of Toms River, died Tuesday, June 28 at home. Born in Toms River, he has been a lifelong resident. He was a 1981 graduate of the Peddie School and a 1985 graduate of Boston University. Christopher was the Managing Partner at The Howard Johnson Hotel, Toms River, which is a second generation family business. He was a board member of the International Operators Council of Howard Johnson. He enjoyed spending time with his friends on the farm and on the golf course. He was predeceased by his father, James Pappas. Christopher is survived by his loving wife of 7 1/2 years, Jacki Frank; his mother Jacqueline "Faye" Pappas; his sister, Daphne Pappas-Krieger and her husband Kenneth, NYC; his brother, James Pappas Jr, Toms River and 3 nieces, Sophie, Alexa and Tori Krieger. He is also survived by his loving cousins and many dear friends. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8pm at "The Family Owned" Carmona Bolen Home For Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 10am at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, Toms River. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
