Ann A. Thompson

Ann A. Thompson, 81, of Keansburg, passed away Friday, November 1st, at her home. Ann was born, one of fifteen children, in Bayonne and lived there until moving to Keansburg over 50 years ago. Ann was a parishioneer of St. Ann's Church and taught their CCD classes for many years. She worked her way up the Garden State Parkway Commission and retired as an executive secretary. Ann was a huge animal advocate and avid gardener. She was a very caring woman who would help and support anyone or anything in need.
Ann is survived by two daughters, Marybeth, wife of Bobby Nesfield, of Middletown, and Noele Carhart of Manalapan; and a son, Leslie Thompson, husband of Donna, of Keansburg. Ann is also survived by three sisters, Bridget Schilabba of Bayonne; Sister Grace Assunta of Pa.; Elizabeth Thompson of Keansburg and a brother, Anthony Bonner of Ga.;7 grandchildren; Kristin, Lauren, Tierney, Brittany, Brendan, Dalton, and Travis and 5 great grandchildren; Tyler, Ryder, Skylar, Madison and Emma.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects Monday from 3-7 pm and again Tuesday 9am at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, 153 Church St., Belford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Ann's RC Church, Keansburg, at 10:15 am on Tuesday. The burial and committal will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
