AGE: 91 • Bound Brook

Anthony M. Pinto, 91, died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at his home after a long illness. Born August 4, 1921 in Bound Brook, he was the son of Vito and Santa (Nardozi) Pinto. A life long resident, he owned Pinto's Liquors in Bound Brook for 25 years before retiring in 1986. Mr. Pinto served in the Coast Guard from 1942 - 1946, during WWII. He received the American Area Campaign, European African Middle Eastern Area Campaign, Good Conduct and Victory Medals. Married in 1950, he was predeceased earlier this year by his loving wife, Marie. He was a graduate of Bound Brook High School, a communicant of St. Joseph Church, the Bound Brook Elks and the Sons of Italy. He was also an avid fisherman.

Surviving are his daughters Jane Pinto of Bound Brook and Susan Pinto of Brielle, four brothers, Alfred of Maggie Valley, NC, Vito and Frank both of Bound Brook and Louis of Middlesex.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, 9:00 AM Monday, November 26 at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave. Bound Brook, followed by a 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be at Bound Brook Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
