AGE: 89 • Sayreville

Charles E. Molteg, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Madison Care Center, Old Bridge. Born in Sayreville he was a life long Borough of Sayreville resident. Before his retirement in 1991 he was employed as a Forman for the Middlesex County Utility Authority where he worked for 20 years. Mr. Molteg was a U.S. Merchant Marine veteran of World War II, a member of Sayreville Knights of Columbus Council 2061, Middlesex County Pigeon Racing Club, 3rd District Democratic Club and a communicant of Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville.

He is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Cottrell Molteg; and his sons, Mark, Martyn and Myles. Surviving are his son, Mitchell Molteg; his grandchildren, Holly, Michael and Nicholas and his daughter-in-law, Kim E. Molteg.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 9am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main Street, Sayreville followed by a 9:30am mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Members of Sayreville K of C Council 2061 will hold services Wednesday 7:30pm at the funeral home.
