Dorothy Farr Hullfish


Dorothy Farr Hullfish of Lawrenceville, NJ and Bradenton, Fla. died peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2013 at home in Florida surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy, the daughter of Dorothy and Charles Farr was born on September 3, 1932 in Wall Township, NJ and grew up in Spring Lake, NJ. She graduated from Spring Lake Grammar School, Manasquan High School and Trenton State Teacher's College. She was employed by the Belmar Board of Education, Lawrence Township Board of Education and Princeton Theological Seminary. A member of the Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church for 55 years, she served on its Board of Deacons and as a Ruling Elder. She was also a past member of Rosedale Homemakers, an avid reader, knitter and crocheter. She spent countless hours knitting and crocheting baby Afghans to donate to charitable organizations.

Dorothy is survived by her loving and caring husband of 57 years, Charles C. Hullfish, of Lawrenceville; a son, Richard of Stowe, Vermont; a daughter, Kathie and her partner Laura Kuhn of Charlottesville, Virginia; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Karen of San Diego, CA and a daughter, Kimberly of Woolburch, NJ; grandsons, Dylan of Stowe, VT, Trevor of Princeton and Casaey of San Diego, Ca. She is also survived by her devoted sister and brother-in-law, Ginger and Seth Brown of Port Clinton, OH.

At her specific request there will be no calling hours and interment will be private, immediately following interment, a Celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville on Friday, at 12:00 noon with the Rev. Jeffrey Vamos, pastor, officiating. Reception and luncheon for friends and family will follow in the area of the church.
