Eleanor Terris Alden

Eleanor (Focarelli) Terris Alden, 91, entered into eternal rest at her residence on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, she had lived in South Bound Brook and the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater before settling to Middlesex in 1950. Eleanor retired from the Borough of Middlesex where she was employed as the assistant Tax Collector. She was an avid ballroom dancer and was active with the senior center located "up on the hill" in Warren. She belonged to the Middlebrook Country Club in Bound Brook and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her daughter, Charlene Terris Greenberg in 1971; first husband, Michael A. Terris in 1977; second husband, James R. Alden in 1992 and by three brothers and a sister. Eleanor leaves behind her family; longtime loving companion and dancing partner, Frank Goreski of Manville; son, Michael S. Terris and his wife Doris of Glen Gardner; daughter, Andrea Boss of Hillsborough and three step-children, Jamie, James and Janice. She will be deeply missed by her seven adored grandchildren, David, Jesse, Sam, Jessica, Marshall, Denise and Brian and by two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 1-3 pm and 6-8pm and on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 8:15 am until 8:45 am. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 8:45 am followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex.
