Elizabeth (Nagy) Foldi, 89, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at the Park Place Center, Monmouth Junction, NJ. She was born in Alsoberecky, Hungary and moved to the United States, settling in Perth Amboy, NJ from 1957 to 1992. In 1992, Elizabeth moved to New Brunswick and lived there until her death. Elizabeth was a member of the Magyar Nagyaszonya Church in Perth Amboy for a great many years. Upon her move to New Brunswick, Elizabeth became a congregant at St. Ladislaus RC Church. She truly enjoyed her church. She had worked for Princeton Shirt in Perth Amboy from 1957 until retirement in 1982. Elizabeth loved to do sewing.
Predeceased by her parents, Janos and Zsusana (Balla) Nagy and her husband, Janos Foldi in 1983, Elizabeth is survived by her very good friends, Anna and Laszlo Lipoczky; their sons, Stephen and John; their granddaughters, Faith, Paige and Grace and also her good friend, Blanca Mercado, of Perth Amboy, NJ.
Visitation will take place at the Gowen Funeral Home, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ on Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 9:00-10:00am. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ladislaus RC Church, 215 Somerset Street, New Brunswick, NJ at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Hopelawn, (Woodbridge Twp.), NJ.
