Elizabeth Mary (Wrinn) Hansen, 87, of Monroe Twp., died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold.

Born and raised in New Haven, CT, Elizabeth lived in Spotswood for more than 50 years before settling in Monroe Twp. in the mid-90's. She was a homemaker. In the 1950's, she served as a Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack 35 in Spotswood with her late husband, Albert, who was the Scout Master. During that time, she was a columnist for the Spokesman (now known as The Sentinel) and, she was a member of the Spotswood VFW ladies auxiliary. She enjoyed being a member of the (Tuesday) Interfaith program at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed playing bingo. Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her family and her many good friends.

Predeceased by husband, Albert J. Hansen, Sr. in 1992 and her sons, Michael in 1996 and Chucky in 2006, she is survived by her children, Albert "Jim" Hansen and his wife Marianne, of Spotswood, John Hansen and his wife Rosemarie, of North Brunswick, Wrinn Hansen and his wife Doris, of Atlantic City, Marie Olesinski and her husband Robert, of Milltown and, Susan Hansen of Monroe Twp.; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Sean, Sam, Matthew and Christine, and; her great-grandchildren, Nate, Amelia, Alexandra and Liam.

Funeral services will begin at 9:15 AM Monday from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:15 AM Monday from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood, with interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
