AGE: 7 • East Windsor

Emma Riley Draine, 7, passed away with her family at her side on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Emma was born in New Brunswick and had lived in Phillipsburg, NJ before spending her past few years living between East Windsor and Somerville.

Emma was a student in the first grade at the Joseph F. Cappello School in Hamilton, NJ. Each day she would bring joy to her classmates, her personal aide, Nancy Pepperman, her teacher Tina Jablonski and her principal Christine Sevilla. She was also especially fond of her school nurses Natalie and Karen.

Emma loved to be out and about meeting people, enjoyed dancing with her mom and dad and being in all kinds of water, swimming. She was a fashionista, who was always smiling. Emma became a heart and heart valve donor with hopes of helping someone else to be able to live a full life. Emma had experienced a lifetime in a few short years thanks to her family and those who cared for her from her doctors, nurses and all others who were in her life.

She will be sadly missed by her mother Alison Sinclair and her companion Alkowa Conover, her father Jason Draine and his wife Christine Kopacky, her brother Connor Sinclair, her sister Reagan Draine, her maternal grandparents Ronald and Doreen Sinclair, her paternal grandparents Robert and Sharon Draine, her uncle Patrick Sinclair and his wife Sherry Harrison and her cousins Gabrielle and Destynee.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. Funeral Service will be held during the evening visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph F. Cappello School in care of the funeral home in Emma's memory.
