Ernest Gross, 94, Attorney and Professor Emeritus at Rutgers University, died at his home in Montgomery, Alabama, August 4, 2013. He was born in New Brunswick, NJ., Nov. 3, 1918, the son of Nicholas H. and Celia (Grosz) Gross. A graduate of Rutgers Law School, he was in private practice until he joined Rutgers University as a Professor in the Department of Management and Industrial Labor Relations. He retired from teaching after 33 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Joseph Gross and his sister Helen Weissberger. His beloved son Nicholas Henry Gross died in 2011. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Edith (Saldinger) Gross; his daughter, Rosalinda Gross-Smith and son-in-law Michael Smith of Montgomery, son Stephen Gross and daughter-in-law Susan Daley of New York City, granddaughter, Jenny Smith of Tel Aviv, grandson, Matthew Smith and fiancé Christine Yennaco of Seattle and his brother Jacob Gross of New Brunswick.
Graveside services will be held at Washington Cemetery, Dean Rhodes Hall Road, Deans, (South Brunswick Twp.), NJ, today, (Tuesday, August 5, 2013) at 1:00 pm.
