Erwin W. Pfeifle, 85, of Fords, passed peacefully, with his loving family at his side, on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. He was born in Bronx, NY, was formerly of Palisades Park, NJ, where he had resided until moving to Fords in the early 1960's. He received his Law Degree at Seton Hall Law School in Newark. He served in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War, and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Mr. Pfeifle retired in 1989 as a patent attorney, with Bell Labs in Holmdel, where he had worked from 1972 to 1989. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Perth Amboy, and was a gifted and talented organist.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Wilma, who died in 2003. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Heidi Bodnar, his dear son in law, Mark, and his cherished granddaughter, Laura Bodnar, all of Bridgewater.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863. Interment will follow at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
