Frank Goreski, 89, died on April 24, 2014. Frank was born in Scranton, PA and formerly of East Rutherford, Scotch Plains, and Watchung before moving to Manville in 2012. Frank was a US Army Veteran in the Korean War. He was a Det. Sgt. NJ State Trooper out of the Morristown and Trenton Barracks for over 20 years where he was a forensic investigator specializing in finger printing and crime scene photography retiring in 1975. Frank then worked for the Union City Prosecutors Office. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Center in Warren and was president of the Ashley Motors Corp. Frank enjoyed playing semi-pro baseball in Nanic, NY and in Pennsylvania for the White-Roses Farm Team. Frank was known as an avid dancer, NY Yankees fan and a car enthusiast. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

He is predeceased by his former wife Vivian and his companion Ellie Alden. Surviving are his daughter Geri Brady Bocina, and son Glenn, grandchildren Brian, Michael, Kyle, Ashley and Christy, great grandchildren Liam and Shaelyn, and sisters Rose Holmes, and Alice Nakowicz.

Services will be 4pm Tuesday at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N Gaston Ave., Somerville. Private cremation was held at the convenience of the family.
