Frank Michalik, 89, of Sayreville passed away Friday December 20, 2013 at Overlook Hospital, Sumitt. Born in Sayreville he was a life long borough resident.

Before his retirement he was the owner and operator of Break Time Hot Dogs on Main Street in Sayreville for 30 years. Frank proudly served his country in World War II as a medic in the U.S. Army serving in the African theater, Ardennes, Normandy in Northern France. He was a member and past commander of Sayreville V.F.W. Post 4699, past commanders club of Post 4699 and a communicant of Saint Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church in Sayreville.

He is predeceased by his son Kevin M. Michalik, his daughter Florence Nemeth, his parents George & Stella Michalik and his siblings Eugene and Aldred Michalik, Virginia Geraltowski and Doloris Tocci. Surviving are his wife of 59 years Mary Ann Sewell Michalik, his children and their spouses Frank & Lora Michalik Jr. of Jackson, Lorraine & William Bobber of Conn., Regina & Jim Colligan of Scotch Plains, Stephanie & Keith Methner of East Brunswick and Collette & Joseph Williams of Berkeley Heights, his brothers Edwin Michalik of Sayreville, George Michalik of West Windsor and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday 8:30 am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville followed by a 9 am mass at Saint Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. Members of Sayreville V.F.W will hold military services and stand honor guard on Sunday at 7:30 pm. Letters of condolence may be sent to the family at
