Herman O. Pharo Sr.

AGE: 82 • West Creek

Herman O. Pharo Sr., 82, of West Creek, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012. Born and raised in West Creek, he was a veteran of the Korean War, served in the United States Navy, was a life member of Eagleswood Township Fire Dept., retired Asst. Chief of McGuire Airforce Base Fire Dept., and was retired Code Enforcemant Officer of Eagleswood Township.

He is predeceased by his precious grandson, James Pharo; his niece, Beverly Pharo; nephew, Tom Pharo; and his brothers, Warner, Wilson, Enoch and Roger. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 60 years, Arlene; son, Herman Jr. (wife Carole); daughter, Debbie Fadde (husband Art); grandsons, Herman III (wife Lorraine), and Dustin Mayeux (wife Veronica); his great-grandchildren, Austin and Rachael Pharo and Vivienne Mayeux, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a viewing from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, with a service at 10:30 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 134 East Main St., Tuckerton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice in honor of Herman Pharo Sr., sent to Hospice Meridian South, 80 Nautilus Dr., Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Burial will be in West Creek Cemetery, West Creek.
