James "Jim" Patrick Mooney, 35, of Brick passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Philadelphia. Jim was a bartender, and also worked with Bally's Total Fitness in Brick. He was a lifelong resident of Brick who loved the beach, swimming, diving, and coaching girls' soccer with the Brick Township Soccer Association. Jim loved spending time with his family and friends, and will be deeply missed by everyone who ever met him.

He is survived by his mother and father, William and Cherrie Mooney of Brick; his fiancé, Melissa Smith and her daughters Katelynn and Amber; his brother and his wife Will and Maureen Mooney; his twin nieces Shealyn and Michaela Mooney; his maternal grandmother Betty Thompson; his Aunt Lexie Thompson; and many extended loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Herbertsville Colonial Funeral Home, 1045 Sally Ike Road in Brick. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or the (www.cancer.org).
