James V. Nannini

James V. Nannini, age 92, of Red Bank passed away on July 7th. Born in Italy, James grew up in Red Bank. He was formerly of Ocean Twp. before his move to Eatontown. During WW II, James served with the US Army and Marines from 1941-1945, Where he proudly fought in the Pacific Theater, including the landing at Guadalcanal , Peleliu and Okinawa. He received the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. James was a self-employed contractor.

James was predeceased by his son Luigi three years ago. He is survived by his wife Mary; two daughters Carol Nannini of Long Branch and Phyllis and husband William Hart, III of Monmouth Beach; sister Dolly Rizzi of Missouri; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

All arrangements are private at his request and were entrusted to the Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
