Jamie A. Santiago of Edison died Wednesday at home. He was 82 years old. Born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico he came to the States living in Edison for the past 45 years. Mr. Santiago was a lab technician at Bristol Meyer Squibb in New Brunswick for 26 years retiring in 1991. He served in the U.S. Army
during the Korean War
gaining the rank of Sgt. First Class.
He was predeceased by a daughter in law Carmen Santiago, a grandson Jesus, 1 brother and 1 sister. Surviving are his loving wife if 51 years Virginia (Rosado) Santiago, 4 sons Jamie Santiago of Puerto Rico, Jaime Eduardo and wife Lourdes Perez of Puerto Rico, Arnold and wife Susan Santiago of Bound Brook and Jaime Santiago Jr. and wife Carol of Branchburg. 4 daughters Arlene and husband Walter Fedak of Hillsborough, Irene and husband John DeGrazia of South Brunswick, Mary and husband Mike Yascko of Edison and Amaly and husband Michael Rocha of South Brunswick. Also surviving are 4 brothers, 1 sister, 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday October 8th at 10:30 am from the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave. in Edison followed by an 11:00 am mass at St. Matthew's R.C. Church in Edison. Burial will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
