Jane Mary (Calvo) Banovich

Jane Mary (Calvo) Banovich, 90, entered into eternal life on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Somerset Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing Cenetr in Bound Brook. Born in Havana, Cuba, daughter of the late Regino and Natalia (Rodrigo) Calvo, she grew up in Bound Brook and settled to Manville after she was married. Jane was a homemaker. She was an avid gardener and devoted Yankees fan. She was a dedicated member of Thomas J. Cavanaugh Post #2290 VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a faithful communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville.
Besides her parents, Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband George Banovich who died on June 22, 1994 and four siblings: Vincent Calvo, Lou Calvo, Lucy Calvo Kuchno and Florence Calvo Grady. Jane leaves behind her loving son and his wife Mark Banovich and Alicia Patero. She will be deeply missed by her dear sister Sylvia Rubito and her dear brothers Joe and John Calvo, sisters-in-law: Barbara Calvo, Ulanda Calvo and Gwen Calvo and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, August 15th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, August 16th from 8-8:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 16th beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Jane will be laid to rest beside her husband at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ.
