Janice Marie Basilone Kretch, 74, died on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 surrounded by those she loved. She was born in Somerville, NJ on August 6, 1938 to her dear parents Angelo and Mary Crisi Basilone. Janice was a Customer Service Representative at Olympia Company. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, dear sister and sister-in-law, wonderful grandmother, and loyal friend. Janice enjoyed her monthly dinners with her close friends "The Tadalle's," going to garage sales, and cooking for her family and friends. She was a kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Janice is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Kretch of 53 years; her loving children, Christopher Kretch and Kimberly and her husband Carmen Rizza of Branchburg; her dear brother, Wayne Basilone of Raritan; and five wonderful grandchildren, Jessica and Ryan Kretch, Gina, Renee, and Carly Rizza; and her dear sister-in-law, Joan. She was predeceased by her parents; and her brother, Richard Basilone.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869 (908-725-1887). Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 starting with a viewing from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Mass at St. Ann's Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ 08869. Entombment in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.
