John T. "Jack" Meehan

John T. "Jack" Meehan, 84, of Holiday Heights, Berkeley Twp., passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Jack worked for Western Electric, Kearny and then for AT&T at 195 Broadway, Manhattan before retiring after 34 years. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the Army. Jack was a member of the AT&T Pioneers of America and the Western Electric Retired Employees Association. Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Howell before moving to Holiday Heights in 2001. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Joan; 3 children, Rev. Bruce Clark and his wife JoAnn of Largo, FL, Cheryl Britton and her husband Brian of Jackson and Michael Meehan and his wife Emkarr of Short Hills; 5 grandchildren, Joseph, Diana, Brendan, Danielle and Audrey. Visiting will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 7 at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. A funeral service will be held 11:45 a.m. Monday, April 8 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
