Joseph C. Butrymowicz, 87, of Hanover Twp., PA died on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Moravian Village of Bethlehem, PA. He was born in Shenandoah, PA, son of the late Peter and Mary Butrymowicz. He was the devoted husband of 45 years of Jean (Koritko) Butrymowicz. A World War II Veteran in the European and Pacific Theatres, Joseph proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1963. Joseph worked for Mack Trucks, Inc. in the Export Shipping Department of the Somerville, NJ plant. He was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Bethlehem where he enjoyed making pierogies.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jean, of Hanover Twp.; daughters, Sonja Mawson of Missouri; and Tania Tafilowski of North Carolina; son, Alex Terebey of York, PA and his brother, John Butrymowicz of Manville, NJ; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Terebey; brothers, Peter, Chester, Stanley and Charles and his sisters, Anna, Mildred, Helen and Mary.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Connell Funeral Home. A viewing will be held at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 980 Bridle Path Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18017 on Monday, July 15, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. with Parastas at 7 p.m. Another visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9-9:45 a.m. in the church with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
