Joseph P. Rotella

AGE: 94 • Perth Amboy

Joseph P. Rotella, entered into eternal rest on January 5, 2013. Born March 20, 1918, he grew up in Fords then moved to Perth Amboy in 1950. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. For many years, Joseph worked at Raritan Copper Works in Perth Amboy and for several years, the Perth Amboy Parking Authority. Prior to moving to Florida, Joseph was an active member of the local VFW and the Holy Rosary Senior Citizens Organization.

He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Camille, in 2012. He is survived by his son, Ben and his wife Lois of Edison, NJ; daughter, Diane Nicodemus of Tampa, FL; four grandchildren, Joseph and Warren Rotella, Jennifer and James Nicodemus; several cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

As Joseph was a devoted parishioner, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Good Shepherd Parish (Holy Rosary), 625 Florida Grove Road, Hopelawn, NJ 08861. A funeral service was held in Tampa, FL. Interment, with military honors, was at the V.A. National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
