Josephine Tomaino, 88, of Shrewsbury, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 1, 2013, peacefully in her sleep at the Chelsea of Tinton Falls. Josephine was a wonderful homemaker, loving wife and mother. She was involved with the Shrewsbury School PTA, many times a classroom mom and Cub Scout den mother. She was a lifetime communicant of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church in Red Bank. She liked bowling and playing bridge with friends in the evening. In the summer she was a fixture at the "old" Driftwood Beach Club with a close circle of longtime friends. On holidays, she would always have a house full of family. Later in life, she was a member of the Shrewsbury Senior Homesteaders traveling on their many bus trips. She enjoyed her two grandchildren, Bobby and Allison very much, wanting to visit whenever she could.

She is predeceased by her parents, Dominick and Rose Domanico; her husband of 64 years, Alphonso A. Tomaino; brother-in-law, Ralph Santangelo; and niece, Donna Santangelo.
