Lanette G. Steiner Armstrong, 64, of the Morgan section of Sayreville died Monday, February 11, 2013 at home. Born in Red Bank, she lived in South Amboy before moving to Morgan 35 years ago. Before retiring in 2011, she was employed as a teacher's aide for the Sayreville Board of Education for over 20 years. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, South Amboy where she was a member of the Altar Guild, St. Martha's Guild and volunteered in the Thrift Store. She was also a member of the Blue Star Family Support Group of American Legion Post 471, Iselin.

Daughter of the late Maurice and Catherine Steiner, she was also predeceased by her husband, George J. Armstrong, who died July 17, 2012. She is survived by her son, Scott Armstrong of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Russell Holmes of South Amboy; her grandson, Russell George Holmes and her brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Gina Steiner of West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 9:00am from The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals", 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a 9:30am service at Christ Episcopal Church, South Amboy. Interment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Memorial donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church.
