Mary Anna Walulak

Mary Anna Walulak

AGE: 97 • Lakehurst

Mary went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012. She was born in Ware, MA and later moved to Brookfield, MA. After retiring at the age of 89, she relocated to Lakehurst to reside with her son and his family. She was employed as a wire stripper, by Gavitt Wire and Cable, Brookfield, MA, from June 1930 until Aug 2004. She was a faithful employee for 74 years. Mary had a love of life and found joy in dancing, reading, sewing and her family. She took pride in her work record and enjoyed reactions from others when she informed them of her job title, "stripper". She also had a great sense of humor. She was a Red Sox fan, loved the color blue and anything chocolate. Her favorite cocktail was a screwdriver (vodka/OJ). She will surely be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary is predeceased by her husband, Stanley Walulak; her parents, Peter & Agnes Lukaszkiewicz; three sisters, Ann Skutnik, Carrie McCarthy, and Irene Whitaker; two brothers, Peter & Joseph Lukaszkiewicz. She is survived by her son, Ron Walulak and his wife Cindy of Lakehurst; two sisters-in-law, Sophie Walulak of Three Rivers, MA and Anna Walulak of Pueblo, CO; 6 nieces, 6 nephews, 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
