John Paul Renaud passed away on Feb. 14, 2014 at the VA Hospice Center at Lyons, New Jersey surrounded by family at the age of 88. He was born Mar. 14, 1925 in Herkimer, New York to the late Leo & Blanche (Bouchard) Renaud. He graduated from Herkimer High School in 1943. Paul served in the U.S. Navy
during World War II
and was honorably discharged in 1946. He worked for Univac as an Industrial Engineer from 1945 to 1970; then moved to Pennsylvania with Decision Data Computer Corp, retiring in 1991. Paul was a member of VFW
4915, Dad of VFW, American Legion (Mohawk), Knights of Columbus (Herkimer), St. Francis de Sales Church, Class of 43' Reunion Committee, and the Depression Boys.
He is survived by his sister and brother- in-law Madelyn and Dominick Delucia, son and daughter-in-law Gerald & Kathy Renaud, son-in-law and daughter-in-law Richard & Jane Marshall, grandchildren Joanne & Tom Bisconti, Tommy Renaud, Ricky Marshall & Erica Beaver, John Paul & Kimberly Marshall, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife of 68 years Violet (Hand) Renaud (12-11-13) and his daughter Deborah Marshall.
Visiting will be held on Sunday 2/23/14 from 2pm to 5pm at Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Rt 206 Hillsborough NJ. Burial of both Paul and Violet will be in the Spring at Mohawk Cemetery, Mohawk, New York.
