Philip Spitalero, 80, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 surrounded by his family at home. He was born in New York, NY and resided in both West Palm Beach, FL and Red Bank, New Jersey. Philip loved horse racing, football, playing cards and loved spending time with his family.

He is predeceased by his parents, Biaggio and Marguerite Rodgers Spitalero. Surviving are his loving wife, Grace Spitalero; his three daughters, Patricia and her husband Patrick Varrialle of Staten Island, Maureen and her husband James DiBartolo of Lincroft, and Phyllis and her husband William Malek of Lincroft; his 9 grandchildren, Nicholas, Frank, Christina, Edward, Angela, Philip, Christopher, Abigail, and Julia.

A Visitation will be held at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James RC Church on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10am. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Mausoleum.
