Richard J. Sudock died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at home. He was 72. Born in Dunmore, PA, he resided in Irvington before moving to Old Bridge in 1986. Prior to retiring in 1997, he worked in maintenance and was the Health and Safety Rep for OSHA for Wakefern, Elizabeth, where he worked for 34 ½ years. Afterward, he was a valued employee for Party Fair, East Brunswick, for 15 years. He was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church in Old Bridge, and was involved with the St. Thomas Youth Group. He was also a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Council # 4815, Knights of Columbus, Old Bridge. Mr. Sudock was a volunteer "pop pop" at CCLC in Piscataway; and, for the past 7 years, was a member of 3 bowling leagues at Brunswick Zone Carolier Bowling Lanes, North Brunswick. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he served from 1967 to 1969.

Mr. Sudock was predeceased by his wife, Marianne V. Kielwasser Sudock in August, 2005. Surviving are his 2 daughters, Margaret Mary Sudock and Elizabeth Ann Alves and her husband Sergio, both of Old Bridge; and his grandson and godson, Christopher.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 8:15 AM in The Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 9:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
