AGE: 66 • Middletown

Robert F Herbert age 66, of Middletown died Monday, September 23, 2013 after a long illness.

He was born in Red Bank and was a lifetime resident of Middletown. He was a computer systems analyst employed by Fort Monmouth retiring from J.P. Morgan Chase in 2000. After his retirement he worked as a Van Driver for the NJ Blind Citizens Association.

He served his country Honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War.

He is predeceased by his parents Robert and Stella, his sister Margaret Duda and a brother Vincent.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Louise of Middletown; A Son Robert L and his wife Nanette of Middletown; Another Son Matthew M and Fiancé Chrissy Barnes of Brick and Grandson Sared Pitre also of Middletown. He is also survived by a niece Dawn Mihalko, and Nephew James Herbert both of Florida and 3 great nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call at John P Condon Funeral Home in Leonardo on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary's Chapel on Friday at 10:30am with the burial following at bay view cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy maybe directed to the Michael J. Fox Foundation or the NJ Blind Citizens association.
