Thomas Edward Walling Sr., 76, of Wall Township, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He worked in the maintenance department of the Wall Township School System for 30 years, including several years as foreman. Prior to that, he was a carpenter. Born in Point Pleasant Boro, he lived in Belmar and Spring Lake before moving to Wall 48 years ago.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Emma; three sisters, Etta Kessler, Barbara Cowdrick, and Eva Gaffney; and two brothers, Joseph and Harry. Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Charlotte Moore Walling; two children, Bonnie, of Wall Township, and Thomas Jr. of Philadelphia; two sisters, Patricia Guffey of Terra Haute, IN, and Dorothy King of Wall Township. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 8 at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
