Tiburcio L. Hernandez, 80, of Colonia, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1933, in Havana, Cuba. Tiburcio resided in Perth Amboy for many years before moving to Colonia. He owned and operated the Hernandez Barber Shop in Perth Amboy for 40 years, retiring in 2011. He was an active member of the Perth Amboy community, enjoyed hunting, and was a dedicated family man.

Tiburcio was predeceased by his brother, Mario Hernandez. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mirta Hernandez of Colonia; three sons, Albert Hernandez and his wife Maria of Edison, Robert Hernandez and his wife Pamela of South Plainfield, and Rolando Hernandez and his wife Evelyn of South Plainfield; four grandchildren, Jackie, Michael, Amanda, and Gabriel; sister, Caridad Hernandez of Hialeah, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Friday at 10 am.
