Victor C. Veltre Sr.

Victor C. Veltre Sr., passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Elms in Cranbury. He was 79. Born in Rahway, he lived in New Brunswick and South Brunswick before moving to Spotswood where he resided for the past 15 years. He was also a US Army
National Guard Veteran. Victor was an active member of the Polish Falcons from 1967-1970, Lasalles Barber shop staff during his childhood, and he was most proud of his position as a project specialist at Rahway State Prison, Department of Corrections, and most recently a member of The Knights of Columbus in Spotswood. Victor was an avid Giants fan, loved to fish, paint, listen to jazz and watch Nascar.
He was predeceased by his wife, Arlene, his brother, Peter Veltre Sr., and his sister Carol Taylor. Surviving are his five children, daughter Cheryl Veltre of Oklahoma City; son Victor Jr. and his wife Teri of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter Patricia DeRose and her husband Alfred of Morganville; daughter Janis Genovese and her husband Dominic of Spotswood; and son William Veltre of Philadlelphia, PA; brother Dominick Veltre and his wife Ann of Toms River; sister in law Madeline Veltre of Elizabeth; 7 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandson.
