Virginia Armstrong, 76, of Brick, formerly of Brooklyn, NY passed away on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 after a 10 year courageous battle with cancer. She was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary at Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn, NY. Mrs. Armstrong was a generous contributor to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital and enjoyed travelling. She especially loved her trips to Atlantic City and her recent trip to Disney. She was a communicant of St. Martha's RC Church in Point Pleasant. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY she lived in Eagan, Minnesota before moving to Brick 12 years ago.

Surviving is her loving husband of 51 years, Gerald Armstrong; daughter, Linda Armstrong of Middletown; sons, Mark Armstrong of New York City, and Vincent Armstrong and his wife Laura of Eagan, MN; two brothers, Richard Witt of Laurys Station, PA and Joseph Witt of Suffern, NY; as well as her two grandchildren, Isabel and Richard.

Visiting will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday 11am at St. Martha's RC Church in Point Pleasant. Entombment will be at St. Catharine's Cemetery in Sea Girt.
