Virginia Failla (nee Snyder), 95, of Manchester, entered eternal life Monday, Nov. 18, 2013. She was born in Freeland, PA on Aug. 20, 1918 and was the youngest of nine children, Clarence, Ethel, Frederick, Carl, Elmwood, Gordon, Henry, and Laura. She resided in Garfield before moving to Manchester in 1993. She was a Registered Nurse who trained at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, PA, working at Beth Israel Hospital in Passaic, NJ and then at Continental Can Company, Paterson, NJ as an industrial nurse prior to retirement.
She is predeceased by her husband, James V. Failla in 2004. Virginia is survived by three daughters, Patricia Violante and her husband James, Marilyn Failla, and Jane Patrick; four grandchildren, Zachariah Patrick, Raven Patrick, Jared Violante, and Patrick Violante; and two great-granddaughters, Tristan Patrick and Lia Violante.
A private service will be held at the VA Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013. The Failla family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield. Condolences visit aloiafuneral.com
