Walter "Buzz" Anthony


Walter "Buzz" Anthony, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Linden before settling in Edison 28 years ago. Buzz is a graduate of the NYU Stern School of Business and was a retired data manager from Standard & Poors of New York City. A car enthusiast, he loved vintage British Sports Cars. He was a member of numerous car clubs including the NJ Triumph Association, Positive Earth Drivers Club, Vintage Triumph Register and 6-Pack. Additionally, Buzz enjoyed boating and soccer. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Rose Kielbasa and brother-in-law, John DeStefano, surviving are his wife, Angela (DeStefano); two sons, Peter and Kevin Anthony; sister, Marion Link and husband Norman; aunt, Connie Vicari; brothers-in-law, Anthony DeStefano and his wife Regina and Jimi DeStefano and sisters-in-law, Laura Conrad and husband Bill and Fran DeStefano. He will also be missed by his twelve nieces and nephews, three great nephews and a great niece.

At Walter's request, cremation was held privately and he will be buried at sea. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 2-4PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield NJ 07080 (
