Wojciech "Voytek" Piekarewicz

Wojciech "Voytek" Piekarewicz, 44, of Old Bridge, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Though his death was sudden, his family knows that everything happens for a reason: In passing, Voytek provided the immeasurable gift of life to many others through the generous donation of his organs.
Born and raised in Poland, Voytek came to the United States in 1993 settling in Bayonne then, moving to Old Bridge in 2003. He was employed as a manager for MTP Investment Group of New York City for 20 years. He was a dedicated and loving son, father, husband and brother. He enjoyed reading about investing, swimming, Taekwondo and football. He also loved to immerse himself in his daughters activities including music and art.
Predeceased by his father, Stanislaw Piekarewicz in 2007, he is survived by his wife of 15 years, Iwona Piekarewicz; his daughters, Patrycja and Paulina Piekarewicz, at home; his mother, Zofia Piekarewicz of Poland, and; his siblings, Ewa Kantorowski of Pennsylvania and Grzegorz Piekarewicz, also of Poland.
Funeral services will begin at 9:15 AM, Monday, from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by a 10:15 AM Mass of Christian Burial from Holy Trinity Church, Main Street, Helmetta. Interment will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Old Bridge Turnpike, East Brunswick. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
