Althea Williams Obituary
Transitioned this life March 11, 2017 at home in Plainfield. Born in Newark, New Jersey she has been a lifelong resident of Plainfield. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Mt. Zion AME Church in Plainfield for 75 years serving as a usher and Sunday school teacher. She was employed by Sears as a sales marketer for 25 years before retiring. She was also a volunteer at Muhlenberg RMC. Mrs. Williams in addition modeled with Howard Banks. and she loved to dance. Surviving are her daughter Gayle Veney(Rodman) granddaughter Marisa gr. grand daughters Jamiah and Cyla, brother Leroy Howell, sisters Margaret Collins(Louis), Gloria Washington, Naomi Jones, sister in law Lacietta Howell and a host of loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10AM a the Mt. Zion AME Church in Plainfield, Visitation will be held Friday 6-8PM at Judkins Colonial Home in Plainfield, and 8:30Am -10Am Saturday at the church. www.judkinscolonialhome.com

I recently discovered the passing of your mother and I am very saddened and sorry I did know .

was one of her dearest and oldest friends. I will miss her very much. I'm sure the two old friends
