Clyde E. Edmonds, died at home 08/01/2013. Born in Cleveland, OH, to the late Emmett & Edith Rose Edmonds, he spent his early childhood yrs. in Richmond, VA before moving to Washington, DC. He graduated from Dunbar High School in 1943. After entering West Virginia State University, Clyde was drafted in to the U.S. Army & served during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from West Virginia State in 1956 & studied at the Fels Institute of the University of Pennsylvania. He was awarded the M.G.A. in 1959, & went on to Howard University, School of Law, graduating in 1965. Clyde moved to Plainfield in 1966 & was employed by Model Cities. Clyde owned & operated a law practice in Plainfield from 1980 to 2000, with a focus on Family Law & Real Estate. After retiring, he pursued his interest in jazz, cooking, gardening, politics, nature & animal welfare. He was active in the community & served on the Salvation Army Advisory Board & the Board of United Family & Children's Society.

Survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Nancy A. Durant, M.D., son, David Edmonds, brother, John R. Westbrook (Liz), sister, Alease Edmonds, 3-nephews, 3 nieces & many other relatives & friends.

Memorial Service: Sun, 09/15/2013 at the First Unitarian Society of Plainfield, 724 Park Avenue Plainfield, NJ 07060 @ 1:30PM.
