Perth Amboy
Transitioned this life on February 24, 2017 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. A lifelong resident of Plainfield, he was an active member of the Plainfield Fire Department for 36 yrs. Mr. Johnson was also a member of C.O.F.F.E.E. Community Oriented Fire Fighters for Eminent Equality and the F.M.B.A. the Fire Fighters Mutual Benevolent Association. Predeceased by his father James D. Johnson Sr., brother James D. Johnson Jr., sisters Linda Y. and Pamela L. Johnson he is survived by his daughters Lisa Harper, Robyn Williams Johnson, and Laurinda Harper, mother Louise Johnson, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brother Rodger L. Johnson(Brenda) and a host of loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10AM at the Rose of Sharon Community Church in Plainfield, Visitation will be Friday 6-9PM & Saturday 9-10AM at the church. Chipper, wow such a handsome guy. I did not know you were gone. I was just looking the obituary and I saw you. I was sadden to find out this late in the year that you are not longer with us. I pray for your family strength. I remember you being at Hugo and I have been their for almost 2 years and the last time I saw you was in passing in your car. You will be missed by me. A great guy.
