Gainus Sims 99 transitioned this life April 16, 2016 in Edison, NJ. Born in Easton Pa. he has been a resident of Plainfield 87 yrs. he served in the US Navy/Coast Guard as a Petty Officer. Mr Sims was employed as a machinist for Cozzoli machine for 18 yrs, and was a member of the Plainfield Symphony Orchestra and the Civil Air Patrol. surviving are children Gaius O., Howard H., Curtis L and Kelvin L. , and Wendy A. Sims, 9 grand children. 2 gr. grandchildren & sister Audrey Scotland- Hale . Funeral services will be held Friday 7PM at Judkins Colonial Home,Plainfield. Visitation will be held Friday6-7PM at the funeral home. www.judkinscolonialhome.com
