Joanne Hollis Obituary
AGE: 53 • Plainfield
On September 26, Ms. Hollis a life-long resident of Plainfield; a devoted Plainfield community activist for over 30 years, a Plainfield Housing Commissioner, served as Council Woman for Plainfield's 4th ward, was employed at City Federal Savings in Somerset.
Predeceased by father Joseph Hollis, sister Pam Hollis; Surviving are her son Dante Royster, daughters Latice Royster and Deena Beasley (Ryan), 13 grandchildren, mother Marjorie Hollis, sister Bridgett Rivers, step sisters Sharron Green, Wendy Green, and Robin Green.
Funeral services Friday, Oct 3, 10:00 am, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Plainfield, NJ. Visitations: The Family has extended visitation hrs on Thursday, Oct 2, 5:00pm-9:00pm and Friday, Oct 3-9:00am-10:00am. Arrangements by www.judkinscolonialhome.com

I had the pleasure of knowing Joanne and her mother, Ms. Marjorie. Who welcome me with open arms. I look out that back door and I just have my memories of seeing this woman of faith and love for her community and who loved her grandchildren. I just can't get over that Joanne is gone.
