Robert Gildersleeve Obituary
AGE: 45 • Elkridge, MD, fofrmerly of Holmdel
Robert J. Gildersleeve, Jr., 45, of Elkridge, Md., formally of Holmdel, N.J. passed away tragically, in the Amtrak train disaster on May 12, 2015.
He was a graduate of Middletown H.S. South, the Culinary Institute of America and Florida International University. Bob was the Institutional V.P. of Corporate Accounts North America at Ecolab for 22 years headquartered in St. Paul, MN.
Bob leaves behind his beloved wife Danna; his loving daughter and son, Ryan and Marc; his devoted parents, Robert, Sr. and Aileen; his dear siblings, Charles and his wife Lisa, Doreen DeMarco and her husband Eugene, James and his wife Catherine; brothers and sisters-in-law, Barri Leiner Grant and her husband Alex, Jeremy Leiner and his husband Jed Resnick and Matthew Leiner and his wife Claudia. He is the dear son-in-law of Neil Leiner. Also surviving are his dear nieces and nephews, Charles, Danielle, Megan, Emma, Matthew, Nicolette, Jillian, James, Quinn and Katelyn.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 17th from 11 am to 2 pm and 5pm to 8 pm at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave. Red Bank, NJ 07701. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 18th, at 12 PM at The Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road Holmdel, NJ 07733. Cremation will be private.

I have nothing but great memories from all the times we were together in the Poconos and at the Jersey shore. Bob was a guy who always smiled and was bigger than life. Someone you instantly liked! Happy to have known him. God Bless all.
